About the Author

Rómulo Lander is a psychoanalyst at la Sociedad Psicoanalítica de Caracas, and a Training Analyst in el Instituto de Psicoanálisis de dicha Sociedad. An active member of the IPA, he studied developmental psychiatry at the University of Caracas, and Infant Psychiatry at Harvard. He has published a number of articles and books in Spanish. This is his first book to be published in English. Judith Filc is a translator, an independent scholar, and a published poet. She is the author of Entre el parentesco y la política. Familia y dictadura, 1976—1983 and the translator of Lacan's Four Fundamental Concepts of Psychoanalysis: An Introduction by Roberto Harari (Other Press, 2004).
